Tomorrow marks our 10 year anniversary! I am in awe at how fast time has gone by. In my mind we are still the same as we were 10 years ago. But boy, looking at then and now photos ... we have changed. Not for the worst. Just as our family has shifted and changed, so have we.
On this night 10 years ago, Scott and two of his best friends took a trip up American Fork Canyon and did a cold plunge in Silver Lake. I was busy getting stuff ready for the next day.
When we got married we planned it for a Friday evening knowing that a year later on our first anniversary we would be Sealed at the Draper Utah Temple. Little did we know we would also have a sweet new baby, Claire.
Our wedding was a small, intimate gathering. A few close friends and our families attended and then we were off after a small dessert reception. After leaving the church, we ran home and changed then headed up to Salt Lake City.
I loved my wedding with Scott. It felt more about US. The focus was that we loved each other and the extra was not important. In the past Scott has asked if I regretted not having a big wedding like I have planned for others. And my answer is always, nope. It was perfect for us.
Happiest 10 years, Scott. I am so grateful for you, for our trials, for our family and our memories. Let's keep up the good work together.
